About this role

mario is hiring a CEO to set direction for the company, turn strategy into execution, and build a high-performance organization that can grow responsibly. This leader will own company-wide outcomes, represent the business externally, and work closely with the team to shape product, go-to-market, operations, and culture.

What you'll do

Set the company's vision, strategy, and operating priorities, and translate them into clear quarterly and annual goals.
Lead company-wide execution across product, revenue, operations, hiring, and culture to drive sustainable growth.
Build, coach, and align the leadership team; establish strong decision-making, accountability, and performance management.
Partner with stakeholders on budgeting, resource allocation, and key business tradeoffs.
Develop and monitor core business metrics, using data to identify risks, opportunities, and needed course corrections.
Represent mario with customers, partners, investors, and the broader market.
Shape the company's organizational design, hiring plan, and leadership bench as the business scales.
Ensure the company operates with integrity, sound judgment, and disciplined risk management.

Requirements

Proven executive leadership experience with accountability for company or business-unit performance.
Strong strategic thinking paired with the ability to execute in a hands-on, fast-moving environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align people around a clear direction.
Track record of building teams, attracting strong talent, and developing leaders.
Excellent judgment in prioritization, tradeoff-making, and decision-making under uncertainty.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence internally and externally.
Comfort owning metrics, financial outcomes, and operational rigor.
High integrity, resilience, and a bias toward action.
