About this role

Software Engineer hironapublishing is building practical AI-powered recruiting software that helps hiring teams move faster with better judgment, stronger process control, and a more seamless candidate experience. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who can ship reliable product features end to end, work comfortably across application layers, and contribute to a high-quality engineering culture as we scale the platform.

What you'll do

Build, test, and maintain product features across backend services, APIs, and user-facing application workflows.

Collaborate with product, design, and recruiting-domain teammates to translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and shipped outcomes.

Improve system reliability, performance, observability, and developer experience as the product and team grow.

Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code review, design discussions, and technical decision-making.

Help troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.

Contribute to iterative delivery by breaking work into milestones, estimating scope, and communicating trade-offs early.

Requirements

Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, debugging, testing, and sound system design judgment.

Experience building and shipping production software in a collaborative engineering environment.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and the ability to learn new tools and frameworks quickly.

Comfort working across APIs, data flows, and application layers to deliver end-to-end user value.

Ability to reason clearly about quality, reliability, security, and maintainability.

Clear written and verbal communication, with a pragmatic, ownership-minded approach to execution.

Nice to have

Experience working on SaaS products, workflow software, or internal tooling platforms.

Familiarity with AI-assisted product features, LLM-enabled workflows, or evaluation-driven systems.

Experience with cloud infrastructure, observability tooling, and production operations.

Exposure to fast-moving startup environments where priorities evolve quickly.
